Affordable, flexible professional degrees through Bible colleges
Affordable, flexible professional degrees through Bible colleges
Have you ever wanted to develop your students beyond the degree you offer and felt constrained?
The truth is: Adding degrees is a costly, lengthy endeavor. Bible colleges find these barriers difficult to overcome. As a result, goals are unmet or delayed.
At Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), we believe that partnerships can serve the goals of Bible colleges and their students, so we have created a model that offers affordable, flexible higher professional degree options.
Across U.S. higher education, the average tuition for a public or private college ranges between $20K-$40K annually.
Students are staying on average within 50 miles of their family and friend, often reducing educational options.
Recent research indicates that approximately one-third of churches in the U.S. employ a bi-vocational pastor.
Students attending Bible colleges may desire marketplace degrees that are not readily available at their institution.
Accreditation and financial resources prohibit many colleges from offering professional degrees options for students.
As a result, some student pursue professional degrees at other colleges, affecting retention and institutional finances.
Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) is launching the Bridge Initiative to address these challenges, by offering professional academic programs through partnerships with Bible colleges that create pathways for learners and resource Christian higher education.
IWU has a consistent ethos of financial accountability that influences how we serve students through partnerships.
IWU offers a wide array of ministry and marketplace degree options to support the needs of different learners.
IWU has been accredited and in good standing with the Higher Learning Commission since 1966.
IWU offers more than 30 ministry and marketplace degree programs across 10 disciplines, including associate and bachelor degrees. Options are available in business, communication, computer science, counseling, criminal justice, liberal arts, psychology, social work, and ministry/theology. Bible colleges have the option to select specific programs that will add value to your institutional offerings.
IWU is committed to providing an affordable pathway to a higher education degree. This commitment is at the heart of the Bible college partnership. IWU offers students a predictable, reduced tuition throughout their time in the program.
At Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), we know you are the kind of organization that wants to expand your influence and prepare the next generation of leaders. To support these goals, you need affordable, flexible education solutions. The problem is: the higher education system is often a barrier to these goals, which is limiting and frustrating.
We believe higher education should be affordable and flexible, meeting the needs of the individual learner, and we agree that the current system does not support these goals. That’s why we created the Bridge Initiative to solve this dilemma.
